A Spanish rider, Jorge Lorenzo Guerrero born 4th of May 1987 in the Balearic island of Mallorca. In 1995, age eight years, he won the Balearic title and also won the Island’s mini cross, trial, minimoto and junior motocross titles. Lorenzo joined road racing in 1997 and won a title in 1998 with Aprilia 50cc.
In 2000 despite officially being too young he allowed to compete in the Spanish 125cc series at the age of 13 years and made his history by becoming the youngest ever winner of a European 12
